The Meadow

You continue your wanderings through the quite meadow. Suddenly you find a box nearly hidden in the grasses. It has small windows and a tiny little door. No horse could be that small, could they?

There is something written on the box. It says Sha-Haven. Must be where the box is from. Then you hear some scratching sounds coming from inside.

As you look closely, the little door opens and a tiny stallion steps out. He lets out a high whinny of surprise when he sees that he's standing in your giant shadow. After taking a good look at you, and making sure that you were aware of him and weren't about to step on him, he greets you.

*My name is F'laryno. I'm a crenel horse, one of the smallest equines in this land.* He swishes his golden tail. *Good wishes on your journeys, may you find wonders and enchantments wherever you may walk.*

With that, he grabs a mouthful of tiny leaves and returns to his box and closes the door.

A few moments later, the door opens again, only a different crenel steps out. This one is carrying a minuscule jug in her teeth but even so it's almost bigger than she is.

When she sees you and looks way up, she puts it down. "Hello, I am V'nisha. I think you met my friend F'laryno right?" She sees how you look at the jug. "That's ambrosia, we like to drink it. It's wonderful with honey."

"Oh, yes," another voice replies. "It is my favorite!"

"Hello, my name is T'kora. I am very pleased to meet you. Do join us in a drink."

You shake your head. Obviously that jug would be little more than a drop on your tongue and would leave nothing for the crenels. T'kora blushes when she notices how ridiculous her offer was. She giggles out an apology. "Perhaps if you warn us of your coming next time, we'll be more prepared!" Everyone laughs.

"Don't be silly T'kora. We don't need warnings to have visitors, we love to have them come at any time!" This came from another violet mare, but this one had a dragon tail.

"Hello, my name is M'wenna." She makes a kind of curtsey, the best you could expect from an equine form. "I'm sure we can find more ambrosia if you're interested."

You shake your head but thank her for her offer anyway.

"Then what about some of these?" a slightly muffled voice said. You turn around to see a tiny stallion and mare holding some giant golden cherries, or at least they were giant compared to him. You were surprised at how well he could talk with his mouth full. The mare just grinned as she held the stems in her teeth.

He spits them out onto the ground so you could pick them up and eat them. They were wonderfully flavorful and had no seeds! The little stallion grinned. "My name is D'riso, and the red filly is my daughter K'mee."

You suddenly realized that you should have shared but the crenels all shake their heads. "No, no. We have much more where that came from" T'kora assured you.

A tiny blue stallion trots in a looks about. "Where did all the berries go?" he asks, then he sees you. His eyes nearly pop out of his head as he looks up......way up. ::BLINK:: "Wow, you're huge!" he grins and then smirks. "Now I know where all the berries went!"

The others scold him for being impolite. He just sticks his tongue out. "You weren't really insulted were you?" And before you had time to reply he turns to the others and says "See, the human didn't mind."

He turns back to you and says, "My name is Z'kimpha. F'laryno is my father. I am pleased to meet you."

You laugh at his fake manners and he grins back. Soon everyone is laughing.
