Sometimes, the eyes were all that could be seen, glowing dimly just below the surface, to vanish as the Iblekai swam deeper, to where he alone was familar with the secrets found beneath the waters.
None knew of what dangers this creature presented. None wished to find out the hard way. Perhaps it was as harmless as a kitten....but then, as those who have ever held a kitten in their bare hands would attest, they might be round and soft, but their claws and teeth are just as sharp.... |
