It's just after midnight. Winnie has a baby dragon who just wants to play, whereas she just wants to sleep. Winnie decides she's had enough of babysitting a dragon and goes onto the roof to look for his mother. But how will she catch the attention of a mother dragon flying past?

I love Halloween themed things and this book is everything I look for (even though it doesn't technically have a Halloween theme). I love the kooky artwork and the mainly greyscale colour of everything. Winnie herself is a perfect witch from her frazzled hair to her unshaved legs. But she's a good witch, if a little eccentric (even brushing her teeth before bed with a little broom), and of course what witch is without their black cat? But while a cat is one thing, a baby dragon is quite another! He's full of energy and mischief, and of course, fire! Winnie has to get him to his mother ASAP, before he demolishes her house with his youthful enthusiasms. While I picked up this book because it had dragons in it, I'm tempted to read the rest of the series because it looks like a lot of fun.
