Winnie-the-Pooh will be adorable and cute and cuddly forever. There won't be a generation of kids that won't enjoy hearing about the adventures of this honey loving bear. Pooh may not be very smart, but he's a good and kind friend to have, always ready to go on an adventure with Christopher Robin, or rescue little Piglet when he's in trouble, or ensure that Eeyore has a happy birthday even when Eeyore isn't exactly the easiest guy to make happy!
If you've ever wondered why he's called Winnie-the-"Pooh", there is a little introduction in my edition that tries to explain it. Not sure it really makes sense, and the author seems to agree that what he just wrote was a little odd, but then that's how little children like Christopher Robin give names to their toys. It doesn't always make sense. Just like these stories, they don't make sense, but they still bring a lot of pleasure to read.
BTW, I didn't intentionally leave out Tigger from the character list above, he just didn't appear in any of the stories in this collection, he must come in a little later on.
