I'll admit, I've read so many of these reference books now that they are starting to blend together. Overall, I'd say this one is pretty decent, I felt it jumped around a bit too much, in that related topics were kind of scattered about, but on the whole the content is good. Then again, maybe it felt jumpy because I read it on my eReader on the way to work so I only read it in small spurts.
It covers a lot of different areas in unicorn lore, both European and Asian legends, and of course covers the main legends, such as the virgin capture. In fact if you don't want to get into some of the more academic books such as Odell Shepard's Lore of the Unicorn, this one makes for a lighter overview.
In fact, it did a nice enought job on this topic, I'm interested in hunting down other books in this series.
