"I wish I had wings." The white unicorn can heal wounds with his horn. He can make rainbows. But what he really wants is to fly. So he sets off on a quest--past birds and butterflies--to find wings of his own.

This book is beautiful and magical. The illustrations have a lovely dreamlike quality to them, and the story is sweet though simple (it's very simple since it is meant for early readers). A beautiful unicorn capable of healing and making rainbows is still unhappy because he wishes to fly. As he asks the other creatures about him, birds, butterflies for wings like theirs he is always disappointed, the wings would be too small, or the wrong colour. But then one day, while resting on the beach he does something nice for someone else and finds his wishes come true! But in truth, I'm reluctant to return this one to the library since I want to keep the pictures!
