Sparkle the unicorn has gone missing from the town's medieval festival. Did third-grade diva Destiny Delgado or the mischievous Toby Leo steal Sparkle? Or did the wand Nancy bought from the fortune-teller make Sparkle disappear? Once again it's up to Nancy, Bess, and George to look for clues and find the culprit. Follow the Clue Crew as they solve this magical mystery!

I used to love reading Nancy Drew (and Hardy Boys, though I'm a girl I didn't really care about the gender of book protagonists) so because I'm doing a unicorn themed reading year decided to give this one a try. It's directed towards a younger audience around the age of 8, so the book itself only took me about an hour to read. I had figured out how the two mysteries in the book would come together but in truth, I didn't solve the actual mystery, of who stole Sparkle the unicorn.
I doubt I'll bother with other books in the series but it was an enjoyable enough way to spend an hour, to feel like I've gone back in time and was just a kid myself, where even though you were "great detectives" you still had to hope someone's mother would drive you around town, or you could only walk four blocks from your house without supervision, where there were the kids at your school who were your friends, and then there were the kids that were your enemies, and where you could believe a five-dollar magic wand bought at a fair might actually be magic!
