Jenny hopes to fulfill her desire to see a real unicorn on her vacation when she helps old Mrs. Donovan pick roses one misty morning.

Though this book was very short, I managed to read the whole thing just during my commute to work, I found it to be quite lovely and magical. We have Jenny who is going on vacation to a place called Unicorn Crossing. She figures there must be unicorns there and keeps an eye out for them in the woods and in the mists. Sometimes she catches a glimpse of one in the distance, just a shimmer of white that vanishes in a blink. Sometimes the unicorn resolves into a regular horse or a large white dog. But if you really believe, and if you don't try too hard, if you are quiet and patient, you just might one morning see the wonder of a unicorn coming to dine on rose petals. A lovely book about imagination...and maybe something a little more, about keeping dreams alive and allowing oneself to see that which others will not.
I had a scanned ebook copy from Open Library but what little I could see of the illustrations, they were lovely and magical too.
