Un bruit court ce matin dans l’école : une licorne serait cachée au sous-sol. Alors les hypothèses vont bon-train : Est-ce une licorne qui veut apprendre à lire ? Pourquoi se cache-t-elle au sous-sol ? Pourra-t-on la coiffer ? Élèves, maîtres et directrice, chacun y va de ce qu’il convient de croire, de faire et d’imaginer…

A student tells another student that he saw a unicorn in the basement. And so the rumour mill starts as the kids imagine where the unicorn could be hiding, what it might be doing at the school, and whether they would get a chance to see it. I thought it was very cute (though I'm not so sure about the unicorn using the toilet at night) and while the artwork isn't spectacular, it was appropriate for the humourous tone of this picture book.

And I loved the little twist ending that I didn't see coming!
