Lovabye Dragon
Once there was a girl, and all-alone girl, who didn't have a dragon for a friend.
Evermore Dragon
Dragon looks everywhere - every here, every there - for Girl.
Is she lost? wonders Dragon. Yes, she is.
But her heart thumps a sound, a trem-below sound, that her special Dragon friend, her very special friend, will hear.
The illustrations are quirky, the story a little silly, but I kind of like it. Very sweet and nice and fun to look at. In the first book we have a little girl that wants a dragon for a friend, and a dragon that wants a girl as a friend, and how the two manage to meet (I like the palace guards' reaction to the dragon). In the second, they play hide-and-seek (dragon isn't very good at hiding) and girl hides so well she gets lost. But through the power of their connection, Dragon is able to find her. There isn't much in the way of morals in these books, you don't learn much (except it's good to have friends, especially the scaley kind) but I love the softness of the illustrations.
