VITE! Les papillons ont besoin de son aide!
These books look physically really big, but they are indeed books for mini people. Once you open it up and see the GIANT font size inside it's clear this will be a quick read, even if French isn't your native language! They also have fun with the fonts, changing colours and sizes and shapes and mixing in images and other fun stuff.
The plot is a bit weird, Luna-Belle (which is a strange name for a kid, the unicorn has a more human name) wishes for a horse, and the star she wishes on explodes! Next thing she knows a unicorn crashes into her bedroom, because she's in need of a human to save the stars. The unicorn sprouts wings and they fly off into outer space where they find fairies and elves?? And clouds. Turns out the elves are causing the stars to explode so the fairies and the unicorns are trying to stop them. But in fact when a star explodes it releases a lot of magic, magic needed to save the Sun from dying (what about all those planets whose stars are now exploding? Guess there aren't any aliens in this world). And guess what, the elves need a human because a human tear has the power to reignite an exploded star. If that's not a bizarre plot I don't know what is! It sounds like something a kid of the target age group would invent so perhaps it would go over better with them.
I wasn't too crazy about the art either, their eyes are a little creepy and Celeste's front leg often looks glued on, not part of her body, should have used the artist that did the cover art insted.
So these aren't my favorite unicorn books out there, but hey, when else can you read a 400 page book in less than half an hour?
