A princess understands that a silver colt must always be free. This is an illustrated storybook for middle-grade readers about a special colt and its ability as a unicorn to free other horses. Illustrations by Stephen Gammell.

It was strange, it felt like I had read this story before, then realized I had, as part of an anthology. Now I could see it with it's original artwork - monochrome but soft and dreamlike, perfect for a tale of magic and unicorns. Told as a kind of fairy tale, the King discovers a beautiful silvery colt running free in his lands and he desires it for his stables. But no matter what he tried to catch it with, the colt would always escape. He is told that only a net that could catch the wind (what a beautiful image) could capture this beast and so the King demanded such a net to be made. Of course, it is a tale of being careful what one wishes for, as the price may be more than you are willing to pay and you may lose more than you gain.
