Is that even possible?

Volume 11
The Road To The Future As graduation approaches, Amu's guardians, Ran, Miki, and Su disappear. Led by Diamond, Amu takes a journey on the road of stars to find her missing guardians. Will Amu find her guardians or will she find more than she could have ever expected?
Volume 12

A tale for younger readers, feels a little bit like Sailor Moon (in that you say a catch phrase and you gains some powers), and a bit like Pokemon (you have little critters in eggs), and maybe even a bit like Bleach (Amu has to go around and save the bad eggs). Only the powers the Shugo Charas give are changes to your personality, they turn you into the person you wish you could be (e.g. Amu is kinda goth and feels she must present that facade but she'd like to be good at sports or cooking or art), or at least thats the idea. Being able to jump across a field in a single bound isn't exactly a personality trait, nor is the ability to bake or draw well, but I guess one isn't supposed to nitpick too much.
So we have this girl, Amu, who wishes she could expose to the world who she truly is. Now why she doesn't just do it, I don't know, unless she's still trying to figure out who she really is, in which case has to explore a bit first before she can actually become that person. The concept is a little confusing I'll admit. And somehow these little people that live in eggs, that apparently came from her heart and will go away when she grows up, will give her the ability to become this person she wants to be. They are her guardian angel personality enhancers...or something along those lines. Even Amu was kind of confused about the whole thing.
The story gets a bit more interesting with an evil corporation that is trying to find the "embryo" egg, kind of a super egg whose powers are never explained. Now because the whole premise of this story is people trying to figure out who they really are there's also a lot of time exploring people's pasts to understand who they were so they can imagine who they might become.
I don't know if it ever really made any sense really, it was pretty all over the place, with characters freaking out, or flying through star paths and the lock/key thing. But the artwork was great and I grew attached to a few characters (really didn't like some of the others, they were annoying). My brain couldn't figure out exactly how old everyone is, we obviously have different names for our school levels, characters seem to go to "college" when they are like...dunno, 15? So that must mean senior high really (where I'm from we don't even have a junior/senior high, we just have high school). And then Amu has a crush on Ikuto and but she's like...dunnon 13? And he's like 17? Anyway he seems old enough to not even be in school (at least at the end he says he'll wait for her to grow up). And some girls the same age as Amu seem like 10. I'm confused to say the least!
Anyway, it's a light and cute read, with a character that transforms into a black cat which is always a bonus =^.^=
