A vibrantly illustrated official guide to everything unicorn-related, from the Magical Unicorn Society.
After centuries of mystery, the mythical Magical Unicorn Society has published its official handbook.
These learned lovers of unicorns have created a veritable treasure trove of unicorn lore—the facts, the fiction, the where, why and what of these elusive creatures. Discover where unicorns really live around the world, how to find them, and what they eat Learn how to look after them, what powers they have, how to tempt them, train them, and even ride them, and so much more.
With breathtaking artwork from Helen Dardik and Harry and Zanna Goldhawk, this special book is the ultimate gift for true believers.

I actually expected this to be a non-fiction book about unicorn lore, and while it styles itself as non-fiction, all the unicorn lore is, well, made up. But just the same, I found it interesting enough to flip through and I think as a kid it would be fun to try to invent different unicorn types, and where they live and what kinds of powers they might have. The illustrations are bright and fantastical. And so while I'm not a huge fan of these fake lore-books (ran into a dragon one before) I think as a kid it would have enjoyed the imagination it fostered. I mean, what if you could join a real unicorn society and go exploring the world discovering the habits of different types of unicorns? And the art would encourage kids to try to draw their own.
The second book is a collection of unicorn encounters that are contained in the archives of the Magical Unicorn Society. Thought it was a cute idea, with tales from around the world and during different periods of time. Wouldn't it be fun indeed if one could find unicorns in New York's Central Park?
