Tibble, a journalist, is obsessed with cats and is about to lose his job unless he finds something news-worthy to report on. As luck would have it, he runs into a strange young woman stuck up a tree, scared of a dog. Minou claims to be a cat, turned inexplicably into a human. A very catlike, purring human.

Oh this was so cute and silly. A journalist is struggling to find stories when he finds a woman chased up a tree by a dog. After rescuing her he finds she has a surprising number of cat-like qualities (including the desire to sleep in a cardboard box). It turns out Minoes is in fact a cat that was turned into a human. Fortunately she can still talk to cats and was able to set up a network of feline reporters to help the journalist get the most interesting news, after all, cats make excellent spies, I mean haven't you ever noticed your pet listening intently to all you say? They're just missing an interpreter to get published! The setting of a small town in Netherlands was fun, and the fact that the town had, of all things, a deoderant factory made me laugh.
Adventures follow and poor Minoes has to make a difficult choice. Will she go back to being a cat, or does she want to remain a human?
