A glorious garden, a beautiful princess, a lonely unicorn...are woven together in this magical tale of enchanted love.
The grace and richness of the unique stichery illustrations recall the famous unicorn tapestries that inspired this story.

I only saw a scanned version of this book, from Open Library, but it sounds like it might actually be stiched which would be unique! In fact even if I'm only looking at a virtual representation of the book I can see how unique the illustratios are, as if they were part of a tapestry themselves. It is not based on the Unicorn Hunt tapestries in the Cloisters but rather the set of unicorn tapestries that represent the senses.
There is also a bit of a twist at the end of this unicorn tale! I didn't love the book, but it was certainly a very unique children's book, unlike any other unicorn book I've read.
