My name is Lily! I'm a unicorn.
Lily loves making all sorts of things, especially new friends. When Lily meets Roger the penguin she plans lots of adventures for them to go on together. But Roger doesn't want to make new friends or go on adventures! In this sweet tale of friendship, Lily teaches Roger that the world is a fun, amazing place and that it's great to try new things.
From the author of An Awesome Book! and An Awesome Book of Love! comes a brand-new adventure starring Lily the Unicorn!

Nope, nope, nope. The artwork in this book was horrendous and downright ugly. It wasn't even cute childish, it was just ugly drawings (equines don't have dog noses for one thing) with colours coming out of the lines like as if the artist spent about ten minutes on colouring each page and was in a rush. I get it, if it's a recently published book they are all like that now, somehow art that's worse than what the target age group could draw is the big thing these days, but this is one of the worst. Also the pages were crammed full of stuff, which I guess can keep a kid entertained as they go through each and every doodle but I just found it overwhelming.
The premise of the story is nice enough, Lily is a super outgoing personality and loves to try new things. But then she meets Roger the Penguin and he doesn't seem to like to do anything, and the only things he likes are bland and boring and safe. See, he's afraid of the world since it's full of bad and scary things, and also full of things he doesn't know how to do and he might fail to get it right the first time he tries. But Lily manages to encourage him to go out there and enjoy the world.
