Beautiful images and magical text bring the ever-elusive unicorn to vivid life on colorful, and sometimes shimmering, pages.

A beautiful unicorn art book. It begins with a short introduction to unicorn lore, and then procedes with full colour illustrations. The artwork is modern, and as such tends to the dreamlike and abstract, with a large portion of the art coming from a single artist - Susan Seddon Boulet. Obviously I didn't love every single images but some of them were simply gorgeous. Nowadays, with the internet you can just Google a bunch of pretty unicorn pictures to look at but in 1980 you had to have a book to enjoy this kind of works. I don't think I would buy this book now, but I was glad my library had it so I could enjoy the images and the little quote and blurbs that went with some of the images.
