Kephren recorder of the chronicles of Krystonia's account of the many creatures and provinces of Krystonia.

Many years ago I came across the Krystonia figurines, somewhat after I had already started collecting the Windstone ones. I got myself a N'Grall figure because it was the only one that looked remotely like a realistic dragon, the rest were too cute for my tastes (compare with Windstone which I still collect to this day) but at the time I thought I might still try to collect the Krystonia characters just the same. In the end I only ever got the one. But then just this year I found this book in a used bookstore, I had no idea there were books related to Krystonia so I grabbed it.
Ok, so this book is really a means of selling the figurines. Each character is given a little annecdote to given them a background story, as opposed to it being a kind of novel. There is one longer continuous story in the last third of the book, but the rest are just brief incidents to introduce the characters and places in the world of Krystonia. Since I didn't really expect much else, that didn't bother me too much, but I will say, not being a huge collector of the figurines, not really all that interesting a book. I certainly wouldn't recommend it to anyone who doesn't have at least a passing interest in the figurine collection, they would probably be confused as to the point of the book.
There are three other books out there apparently, presumably of similar style and format, and equally presumably hard to find. I'm not going to be putting any effort into searching for them, but on the other hand, I may keep the one I have, while I'm unlikely to read it again, it is a kind of collector's item. The artwork is also really nice.
