The young unicorn Billie seeks adventure! She leaves her cornfield for the forest, where her friendly cousins Rhubarb and Smudge show her how to grow delightful flowers. However, the legend of a Queen's castle that holds the world's grandest garden lures her away! But will Billie discover that friendship and freedom matter more?

One the reviews mentioned this looks like and would make, a good cartoon. And seeing that Drouhard is an animator I can see why her art style leans that way, it does look like an episode of something from morning TV. I didn't totally love the rendering of the unicorns, Billie came off too much as a sterotypical hayseed, freckles and buckteeth and all. But then I'm from the generation before My Little Ponies became emaciated and had oversized eyes, and this style is more in line with the modern MLP. But in the grand scheme of things the artwork is lovely and that's rare to say these days in children books! The story wasn't unique, covering both believing in yourself and learning that the grass isn't always greener on the other side. It was a sweet and feel good tale.
