Follow Milo the mischievous cat on his journey down the river, riding the white-water rapids, meeting new friends, battling bears and other fierce creatures, and falling in love - all with loyal Otis, his pug pal, close on his tail.
This book is based on a movie from the last 1980's about a kitten, who got into trouble and was swept away down a river, and his puppy friend, who went out to rescue him. I'm not sure I ever actually saw the movie, but for some reason I bought the book. However, it wasn't a book first and then a movie...and books that simply retell a movie in written form tend to, well, suck. And this one is no exception. Even when I first got it, I would have been around 10, I thought it was pretty bad. And I tend to find redeeming features in most books. But this is really a case of watch the movie, skip the book. This isn't meant to reflect badly on the author, it's just, these kinds of books are bad.
